Governing Council

Gladstone High School Governing Council is a dedicated group of parents, teachers, students and community representatives who are  working together to make Gladstone High School great!

We hold two meetings per term in Week 4 and Week 8.

In our roles on Governing Council, we work with the site leader to:

  • involve the local community
  • develop and approve local policies
  • set the broad direction and vision of the site
  • monitor and review the site improvement plan
  • be the employing authority the school canteen.

We are also involved in fundraising, to improve the aesthetics and facilities within the school to enable better learning for our children.

There are many ways to become involved with the Governing Council:

  • Volunteering in the canteen either as a helper for 3 hrs on a weekday or by providing goods for sale such as soup in the winter months.
  • Participating in a Sub Committee of the Council such as the Agriculture, Grounds, Finance or Fundraising Committees
  • Volunteering to help out at Athletics Day, the Swimming Carnival or other events held throughout the year
